Hand-building – lessons and traineeships
OUTSIDE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS AREA A:
– On demand lessons,
2 p.m.-5 p.m., day to be agreed together.
6 persons maximum.
Accessories and earthenware or stoneware provided.
Firing of a reasonable number of pieces included, after drying.
The session : €40 / person.
The booklet of 10 sessions for 1 person, valid for 1 year : €250.
Mandatory membership to the association, for one year : € 10
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS AREA A: ALL SAINTS, CHRISTMAS, WINTER, SPRING BREAK
– Traineeship, 9 hours, 3 half-days, 2p.m.-5p.m.
6 persons maximum.
Accessories and earthenware or stoneware provided.
Firing of a reasonable number of pieces included, after drying.
The course : €150 / person.
Advance payment. Installment payment possible.
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS AREA A: SUMMER
– Traineeship, 12 hours, 4 half-days, 2p.m.-5p.m.
6 persons maximum.
Accessories and earthenware or stoneware provided.
Firing of a reasonable number of pieces included, after drying.
The course : €200 / person.
Advance payment. Installment payment possible.
In the hand-building courses and workshops we discover the following:
- the history of ceramic sculpture.
- different types of clay and their properties: terracotta; earthenware; black, red and white sandstone; chamotte; paper porcelain
- the techniques of the ceramist: columbine, slabware, stamping, modelling.
- the constraints of shaping a head
- using free expression or inspirational models
- the means to perfect one’s creations: slip, textured prints, oxides, glazes, etc.
